Job Description

The Product Manager will be responsible for:

  • Product Strategy & Development: Lead the product life-cycle for packet seeds, bulbs, and indoor garden solutions from concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.
  • Market Research & Trends: Conduct market research and analyse consumer trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation in the home gardening space.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, marketing, sales, and operations teams to bring new products to market, ensuring the product vision is translated into actionable plans.
  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear and compelling product messaging, working with the marketing team to communicate the value and benefits of the products effectively.
  • Product Life-cycle Management: Manage the entire product life-cycle, including product launches, updates, and discontinuations, while ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Customer Focus: Gather customer feedback and analyse product performance to continuously optimise product offerings and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, new gardening techniques, and technologies that could shape the future of home gardening.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Manager should have:

  • Around 5 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of bringing consumer products to market.
  • Experience in the horticulture or home gardening industry (desired)
  • A passion for gardening and sustainable living (desired)
  • Strong understanding of product development, pricing, and positioning strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple product initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
