Job Description

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Own end-to-end manufacturing performance
  • Provide strong floor presence, supporting frontline leaders and operators
  • Deliver production plans safely, efficiently and to service targets
  • Drive improvements in OEE, reliability, waste and labour productivity
  • Lead daily performance management and respond to downtime and constraints
  • Strengthen operational routines, discipline and accountability
  • Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime
  • Lead structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and present clear performance updates to senior leadership forums



The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Operations Manager should have:

  • Strong FMCG manufacturing background within a large, complex site
  • Confident leader to challenge constructively and drive accountability
  • Proven experience presenting commercial and strategic initiatives leaders
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys problem solving, driving change and maintaining strong floor visibility
  • Demonstrated track record of improving equipment reliability and OEE
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communicator able to influence and collaborate across functions
  • Unwavering commitment to high safety, quality and compliance standards
