This role oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules (DIFOT) are achieved safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP/TGA standards. You will lead a large production team of 60, drive continuous improvement, investigate incidents, and collaborate cross functionally to deliver high quality product output.

Our client is a well known GMP regulated contract manufacturer recognised for producing high quality therapeutic goods in a highly regulated GMP/TGA environment.

Job Description

As the Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise 8 production lines and a team of approximately 60 staff across day and afternoon shifts.
  • Ensure the production plan is executed effectively, meeting DIFOT targets and daily output goals.
  • Oversee GMP compliant manufacturing practices, hygiene, and documentation accuracy.
  • Lead incident investigations, safety reporting, and near miss reviews.
  • Coordinate closely with QA, Planning, Warehouse, and Engineering to ensure material readiness and smooth production flow.
  • Complete Batch Manufacturing Records and ensure 100% documentation accuracy.
  • Use SAP and excel based tracking to monitor production performance and resource allocation.
  • Coach and develop operators, build a strong culture of ownership, and maintain high morale and discipline.
  • Identify bottlenecks, support continuous improvement, Lean initiatives, and minimise downtime.

The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this Production Supervisor role, you will bring:

  • Hands on experience with pharmaceutical, medical device, nutraceutical, contract manufacturing or other GMP or TGA compliant manufacturing (***essential***)
  • Experience supervising production lines, ideally in high volume manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership capability, especially in multicultural teams where language barriers may exist.
  • Solid understanding of GMP or TGA, SOPs, hygiene, line clearance, contamination control, and batch documentation.
  • SAP and/or strong Excel skills for daily operational tracking.
  • High ownership, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure.
