Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily production process, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Production Oversight: Coordinate and manage production operations, ensuring schedules are followed and production targets are achieved.
  2. Staff Management: Supervise, train, and mentor production operators, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  3. Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards, reporting any issues to the Quality Assurance team.
  4. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, work with OHS to implement safety initiatives, and manage incident reporting and risk mitigation.
  5. Schedule & Rostering: Coordinate staff rosters, manage breaks, and ensure appropriate coverage to maintain continuous production flow.
  6. Equipment & Maintenance: Ensure production equipment is maintained according to schedule and kept in good working condition to prevent breakdowns.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments like Logistics, Planning, and HR to ensure smooth operations and resolve any production-related issues.
  8. Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time, including compliance records, performance reports, and safety reports.

The successful candidate for the Production Supervisor role will be an experienced and proactive leader with a strong background in food manufacturing. Key attributes include:
