About Our Client

Our client is an established global organisation specialising in construction, property and civil engineering projects. They are urgently looking for experienced Project Managers for a major road project with a reputable MNC organisation with a DIDO 5:2 roster based an hour away from Perth.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Operations Manager, roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • You will manage and coordinate engineering projects, site activities, overseeing and monitoring contractors and site staffs
  • Contribute to the completion of engineering assignments, achieving timely and budgetary parameters, adhering to comply with standards and procedures of organisational objectives
  • Apply advanced knowledge in subject matter and approach problems with broad-based solutions
  • Provide leadership in the creation of skills, well-being and develop a supportive work environment for delivery staff
  • Comfortable in leading team work on direct projects or assignments
  • Manage the project delivery within a timely manner ensure the maximum outcomes for the project
  • Ensure quality is at a consistently high level and pro-actively identify quality issues. Review all costs and controls
  • Perform project engineering activities such as feasibility studies, instructions, specifications and the achievement of time and cost objectives to complete assigned projects
  • Recognise and reward safe behaviours and practices by constantly reviewing the EHS plans and lessons learnt
  • Review the project sustainability objectives and targets ensuring compliance to high standards and local regulatory requirements
  • Manages and leads senior/experienced teams through application of advanced to expert knowledge across multiple specialist streams
  • You will have financial accountability for a cost or profit centre and significantly contributes to operation plans. Responsible for the leadership and development of the team
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders which may include engineers, technicians, site supervisors and contractors, and provide mentoring, coaching and support to team

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in a project or site engineering role
  • Undertaking complex and high-volume civil projects including understanding of safety and risk management and field related issues
  • Good knowledge of construction and property development industries
  • You will have commercial acumen and analytic skills in commercial assignments
  • Written and verbal communication skills to facilitate decision making, influence and build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders and facilitate decision making processes and support the implementation of organisational policies, procedures and projects
