About Our Client
My Client is an Australian Manufacturer that has a strong foothold in the baked ingredients industry as a major supplier to supermarkets, food services and bakery retailers.
Develop, implement and maintain the sites Quality Management System
Ensure implementation of the Corporate Safety systems are implemented and maintained on site.
Provide training to maintain the skill level of employees on site.
Ensure compliance of raw materials and finished goods comply with agreed specifications.
Manage the quality staff or contractors on site
Support other site functional areas including Production, warehousing and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement and strive for best practice.
Ensure all site activities are completed in a safe manner and constant compliance with OH&S requirements.
Project manage and participate as a project team member as required.
The Successful Applicant
Tertiary qualifications in food science, cereal chemistry or similar.
Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
Min 5 years experience in the Foods Industry or Quality Systems.
Good reasoning ability and problem solving skills
Experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and processes
Sound computing skills with knowledge of spread sheeting and report writing
Superior analytical and conceptual skills
Superior technical knowledge and skills
Strong communications skills
Project Management Skills
