We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to oversee and enhance the quality assurance processes within this engineering business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and implement quality standards.

About Our Client

This role is with a well-established national HVAC organisation specialising in engineering solutions. As an organisation, they are committed to delivering top-notch services and maintaining high-quality standards across all operations.

Job Description

  • Manage and update the Quality Management System (QMS), in accordance with the ISO 9001 framework, integrating new technologies and methodologies where necessary.
  • Ensure alignment with industry regulations, Australian Standards, and internal policies & procedures.
  • Action key items from the ISO Tri-Certification assessment, reinforce best practice and ensure ongoing compliance with the standard.
  • Conduct regular quality management system audits and reviews to identify and address quality issues.
  • Establish a National Quality Committee, that sits monthly to report on key findings at an organisational and project level.
  • Regularly report to the NSIM on NQC minutes & audit findings, presenting corrective action requirements and opportunities for improvement (this would be reported to the ELT at predefined intervals by the NSIM).
  • Collaborate with the National Managers & ELT to drive continuous improvement initiatives at the organisational level.
  • Oversee and enhance project delivery processes (PLC), ensuring consistency in documentation, workflows, and compliance across all offices.
  • Conduct regular project audits and reviews to identify and address quality issues.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Quality Manager should have:

  • A strong background in quality assurance within engineering and/or manufacturing.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry quality standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage quality audits effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
