Job Description

  • Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-desk presence.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and emails promptly and accurately.
  • Manage appointment bookings and maintain an up-to-date calendar for staff and clients.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, including courier services.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised at all times.
  • Provide support to other departments as required, including event coordination and scheduling.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Receptionist should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar reception or administrative role within any industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic IT systems.
  • A professional and friendly demeanour with a customer-focused approach.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
  • An understanding of or commitment to working within a not-for-profit or community-focused environment.
