Job Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities in freight forwarding (Air, Ocean), transportation, and warehousing.
  • Coordinating business generation activities and developing customised sales strategies.
  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, forecasting, and business development plans.
  • Delivering presentations to customers in Australia and conducting regular business trips.
  • Retaining customers while driving cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining sales pipelines, with progress recorded in reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Establishing a national supply chain strategy to position the team as a top-tier logistics company in Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • Monitoring freight rate trends and collaborating with procurement to secure competitive prices and stable space.
  • Achieving sales targets and presenting performance in regular meetings (weekly, monthly, semi-annually).
  • Managing and monitoring sales team inventory levels in Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • Developing and executing region-specific Go-To-Market strategies aligned with business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Sales Manager should have:

  • 5 years of experience in logistics
  • 5 years of experience in New Business Development/Sales experience
  • Leading/Directing/Managing experience in a Global forwarding company
  • Experienced in large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts
  • Experienced in logistics IT systems (FIS/WMS/TMS)
  • Previous job promotion experience
  • Knowledge about overall logistics business (Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, Warehouse)
  • Strong Local transport / Air-industry / Ocean-industry network
