An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accounts Payable professional within the FMCG industry to join a high-performing Accounting & Finance team. The role is based in Sydney CBD and will be reporting to the CFO. This role will require a diligent, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial operations.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable functions
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
  • General ledger reconciliation
  • Manage inventory movements
  • Generate and manage purchase orders and reconciliations
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain vendor relationships and manage queries
  • Monthly and yearly financial reporting
  • Work closely with stakeholders across all departments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Participate in ad-hoc finance projects as required

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Proficiency in large ERP accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in Retail/FMCG businesses
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or similar role
