Job Description

Contribute in various aspects of transaction analysis, preparation, and execution, including:

  • Gathering and analysing relevant data to support decision-making.
  • Undertaking financial modelling and valuation activities.
  • Coordinating due diligence investigations across internal and external parties.
  • Managing data rooms and facilitating Q&A processes for divestment activities.
  • Preparation of information memorandum and other marketing materials for potential transactions.
  • Supporting the preparation of reports and presentations for Senior Leadership and Board-level audiences.
  • Collaborating with other Group Functions to execute transaction-related tasks efficiently.
  • Engaging with external transaction advisors to ensure smooth and effective execution.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Analyst will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a commercial or quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyse financial statements, including P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheets.
  • Good understanding of corporate finance, economics, and valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flows (DCF).
  • Highly proficient in financial modelling, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, DataStream, and analyst/company reports, with the ability to effectively filter and coordinate relevant information.
  • Experience presenting detailed financial analyses to senior stakeholders confidently.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within investment banking, management consulting, or Big 4 corporate finance, valuations, or transaction services.
  • Exposure to the metals & mining sector will be advantageous and looked upon favourably.
