About Our Client

Our client is a respected player in the property industry with a significant presence in the Brisbane Market. They manage all Accounting practices of their Partnered locations from within their Indooroopilly based office.

Job Description

  • Oversee all day-to-day financial transactions related to our property portfolio.
  • Generate and present financial reports to the management team. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Commission Payroll / Salary Payroll and lodging superannuation.
  • Assistance lodging BAS.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting and a registered BAS Agent.
  • Proven experience as an All-rounder/Senior Finance Officer/ Senior Bookkeeper/ BAS Agent.
  • A strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Strong communicator capable of dealing with external queries from clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Proficient experience with accounting systems such as MS Excel or Xero.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
