Job Description

  • Analyse and gather business requirements to develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals.
  • Document and communicate technical and functional specifications.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings to identify business needs.
  • Support project delivery by liaising with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimise technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Business Analyst should have:

  • Proven experience in business analysis within the public sector or technology space.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address business needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience documenting technical and functional specifications.
  • Experience in stakeholder management supporting internal customers within an organisation and/or customers external to the organisation.
  • Experience working in regulatory environments coupled with ensuring adherence to regulations within financial services - including banking, superannuation and Insurance.
  • Experience participating and leading system/process/requirement walkthroughs, both in person and in Teams (or equivalent).
  • End-to-end project experience including documenting requirements and processes (incl. process mapping), UAT scripting and testing, change management support and implementation.
  • Track record of successful delivery in the project environment.
  • Experience essential in regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with a government agency will be highly regarded.
  • Analytical, investigative, and research skills, including both data analysis and presentation.
