About Our Client

Our client is an ASX giant in the retail sector.

Job Description

  • Partner with the Commercial Manager to align financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting with business strategy.
  • Deliver financial insights, scenario analysis, and modelling to support commercial decision‑making and profitability.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to General, Regional, and Store Managers, translating performance data into actionable insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on KPIs, dashboards, and P&L analysis, highlighting key variances and performance drivers.
  • Support pricing, margin, cost‑benefit, and investment analysis across products, branches, and regions.
  • Contribute to month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations, rolling forecasts, and group financial reporting.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, risk management, compliance, and audit support, including tax and year‑end processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation, BI reporting, and mentoring finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Available to commence at short notice (ideally W/C 25 June)
  • Strong modelling capacity and ability to build complex business cases
  • Compelling ability to present at SLT level
  • Demonstrated business partnering experience, ideally in a large, complex organisation
  • Proactive, process improvement mindset
