Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust commercial analysis framework that supports organisational objectives.
  • Lead financial and economic evaluations of new opportunities, delivering insights and recommendations that balance value and risk.
  • Build and review advanced financial models, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong analytical rigor.
  • Support commercial negotiations by providing analysis and strategic input to strengthen value outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance commercial positions and improve decision‑making effectiveness.
  • Contribute to major business processes including business case development, due diligence activities, and integration planning.
  • Prepare clear, high‑quality reports and presentations for senior leadership to guide key investment and strategic decisions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience in financial analysis, commercial evaluation, and corporate development, ideally gained in energy or related infrastructure sectors.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability, including analysis to support complex projects and transactions.
  • Exposure to key commercial processes such as business case development, due diligence, and integration activities.
  • Ability to research and analyse markets, integrating insights into robust commercial and strategic assessments.
  • Familiarity with common commercial and project agreements and their role in supporting major opportunities.
  • Experience preparing clear, high‑quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders and decision‑makers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes through structured analysis and commercial reasoning.
