Job Description
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Management - 10%
Managing project to ensure key deliverables are achieved. Coordinating product builds (Part ordering, Manufacture, Shipping)
New prototype and development programmes - 20%
Prototype design, production and testing to support customer requirements and new product strategy that is on time and technically competitive.
Testing activities and documentation - 20%
Wind tunnel, bench and vehicle trial installations that are thorough and well investigated.
Keep records of work undertaken, methods and test results sufficiently clear to enable reproduction by other associates.
ECU development activities - Hardware design and software development - 50%
Development of ECU's for Prototype applications that are on time and meet customer functionality requirements including PCB layout and firmware development.
The Successful Applicant
ATTRIBUTES:
Good communication skills.
Enthusiastic contributor to small project teams.
Ability to manage expenses in accordance with defined budgets or policies.
Skills in influencing and negotiating with a broad range of project stakeholders
Ability to prepare concise reports and presentations suitable for the customer.
Capacity to identify, analyse and solve problems drawing on a broad range of technologies.
Good skills at reading and analysing engineering drawings.
Basic mechanical skills to modify and assemble prototype parts or test equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Degree or other tertiary qualification in Engineering accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia. Engineering knowledge gained through completion of a Tertiary Engineering Degree.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to conceive of innovative solutions to specified problems by synthesizing a broad range of technologies and pre-existing solutions.
