Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsCommercial opportunity to work with an established UniversitySupporting the Research arm of the business, providing insights and analysisAbout Our ClientA well established University located in Melbourne.Job DescriptionThe Senior Finance Business Partner will lead on-Partner with a large variety of stakeholders across the BusinessDriving key commercial decisions with a focus on the Research budget (circa $60m)Provide high quality and timely financial analysis and recommendations to stakeholders that delivers the right outcomes for the business through evidence based decision-making.Engage and partner with key stakeholders to understand business needs and influence outcomes to drive positive change that enables achievement of University and Portfolio strategic objectives.Lead the development and support the facilitation of the implementation of cost savings initiatives and ensure they are aligned with the University's overall strategic plan and direction.Prepare regular monthly and quarterly management reports for circulation and discussion with Portfolio stakeholders, ensuring that risks and opportunities are clearly articulated and addressed.Support the preparation of business cases and proposals, including value for money and validation of benefits realisation for new business initiatives that support growth and operational improvement.Develop strategies to manage the preparation of internal budgets, forecasts and monthly performance reporting and contribute to the development and implementation of efficient and effective practices within the broader Finance team.Undertake scenario modelling and analytics to determine financial viability of proposed strategic and project initiatives.The Successful ApplicantThe Senior Finance Business Partner will meet the below agenda-Qualified CPA or CAProven track record and relevant experience working in a finance business partnering positionExperience working with senior stakeholders, including very strong interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate and influence decision-making and constructively challenging the business.Well demonstrated capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results determined by critical dates in an organisational environment.Proven management experience in the ability to plan strategic operations, develop policy and procedures to balance and satisfy competing urgent demands, to display initiative, to drive and deliver continuous improvement.Demonstrated ability to monitor expenditure and ensure effective utilisation of budget allocations to meet objectives and to identify, assess and prioritise competing demands to deliver high-quality services within tight deadlines.Demonstrated understanding of key business drivers behind financial performance.Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to develop financial models to evaluate and support business decisions.Experience with Finance One is desirablePrevious finance experience in the educational sector or experience working with Research reporting.What's on OfferThe Senior Finance Business Partner position is offering between $120,000- $130,000 base + 17% super depending on the candidates background and experience.The role is offering flexible working (3/2 split in office).ContactRobert HusbandsQuote job refJN-072024-6486623Phone number0466534137Job summaryFunctionAccounting & FinanceSpecialisationFinancial, Planning & AnalysisWhat is your industry?Not For ProfitLocationMelbourneJob TypePermanentConsultant nameRobert HusbandsConsultant phone0466534137Job ReferenceJN-072024-6486623
