Our client is a leading University located within the inner-suburbs of Melbourne.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic planning and improve financial capabilities to meet business goals.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and financial performance monitoring.
  • Lead a skilled team and foster continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Oversee financial risk, compliance, and policy updates.
  • Drive projects and adapt practices to legislative and technological changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide expert financial advice.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.



The Successful Applicant

Profile:

  • CA/CPA accreditation, and extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Education sector- desirable but not essential
  • Expertise in budget management, financial analysis, systems improvement, project costing, and quality control in large organisations.
  • Proven ability to influence, partner, and manage relationships effectively. With strong interpersonal abilities to negotiate and engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in staff management, motivation, and development.
  • Proficient in financial auditing, analysis, and use of software like ERP systems and Power BI.
