About Our Client
You join a highly professional team as Senior Finance Manager and will be directly managing a small team responsible for the financial and project accounting for various assets of key government clients.
As a significant player in the commercial sector, you will be offered a role that is operational and involved in various aspects of a multi-faceted business. This is a high level role with a strong involvement in providing support to a number of key clients from a strategic and operational perspective.
This role sees you working directly with the senior management and commercial team to effectively manage all financial aspects of the projects.
You will be responsible for overseeing the month end closure, management reporting including executive summary preparation, stakeholder management and reporting, financial controls and variables as well as taking full responsibility for the audit and tax planning and submissions. Together with the Commercial Director, you will present the financial statements and executive summary to your key clients.
Being a key position within the finance team, the Commercial Director is after a strong leader with solid technical abilities in both financial and management accounting and excellent communications skills. Sound business acumen will see you succeed in this role with an excellent mentor in your direct manager to further develop your career.
The Successful Applicant
You will be CA / CPA qualified and currently form part of a team that sees you working closely with multiple stakeholders.
Your experience includes working in a similar role with a strong technical ability as Financial Controller / Finance Manager.
Experience working with or for the Australian Public Service is essential for this role.
