Our client has an impressive portfolio of projects in Australia and is seeking a driven Senior Finance Manager to join their passionate team. Dedicated to making a meaningful impact through innovative renewable infrastructure projects across the country, they are seeking someone with strong projects and development expertise to help them achieve new heights.

Job Description

A key role within their head office, this role will be based in the heart of the CBD where you will be responsible for a small team aswell as:

  • Oversight for the diverse range of projects, ensuring they align with their strategic goals and governance.
  • Working closely with finance professionals and outsourced vendors within the countries to ensure compliance to reporting requirements and adherence to policies.
  • Ensuring that project entities set up are compliant with statutory requirements and internal policies and that tax and corporate accounting is in line with expectations.
  • Financial Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights across the various projects.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all financial activities adhere to local and international regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Leading and developing a small team (Management Accountants and Accounts Payable)
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and manage project risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency and propose innovative financial solutions to enhance project performance and profitability.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role you will be CA/CPA qualified with several years' experience working in a similar leadership role ideally within the sectors across Construction, Asset Development, Engineering, Mining and or Infrastructure. You will have a blend of technical and commercial skills and enjoy leading a team to deliver outcomes. You will be highly organised, and deadline driven, but also be a multitasker who enjoys solving complex problems. Lastly, given the wide range of stakeholders with this important role, communication skills will also be very important as will experience managing outsourced providers.
