The Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting. The role will commence as a 6 month contract and have the opportunity to extend beyond the initial term. The role will also have the opportunity to partake in projects associated with their ongoing transformation activities as they transition through a rapid period of growth.

Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure proper documentation.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation and other statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad-hoc financial tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or CA (or working towards).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Background in audit or business services is ideal
