About Our Client

Our client has reached out to Michael Page to assist with the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant in the funds management & property space. The role will play a pivitol part in contributing to the team's success by managing financial tasks and promoting sound financial decision-making. The role commences immediately as a 6-month contract with a view of extension or potentially permanency.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Preparation of Financial statements for multiple entities
  • Preparation of tax returns (BAS, GST, FBT)
  • Ensure compliance with accounting laws and regulations (Div 7a)
  • Provide insights for financial decision-making
  • Collaborate with the wider Accounting & Finance team
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ongoing system and process improvements
  • Ad hoc analysis

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial/Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CA/CPA Qualified (ideally commenced their career within an Accounting firm)
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Sound knowledge of accounting laws and regulations
  • Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills
  • Proven experience in the transport & distribution industry
