A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a leading company in the retail industry. This role will focus on producing the statutory accounts, Financial Reporting and accompanying the auditors.

Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant role will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes efficiently.
  • Prep of Statutory accounts
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Process improvement initiatives
  • Oversee tax compliance, including GST and BAS reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the organisation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).
  • Experience working within Audit or Business Services environment.
  • Experience in financial reporting and compliance within the retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
