Based in Brisbane CBD, our client is a large, privately owned organisation operating across Australia and New Zealand. Being a market leader in their field, our client has been managing properties for over 25 years. The specialities of this organisation include - Student Accommodation, Asset Management, Property Management, and Accommodation Letting.
Job Description
The main responsibilities of this role are -
- Preparation and review of accounts for Australian and New Zealand properties, including:
- Profit and Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet, including reconciliations
- performance reviews against budget/forecast
- Written variance commentary
- Quarterly reviews and forecasts in conjunction with property managers
- 2-3 direct reports who require ongoing mentorship and development
- Review of BAS, GST, FBT returns
- Heavy involvement in the annual corporate budgets
- Partnering with the Property Managers and building owners, including financial and operational reviews, process improvements and monthly/quarterly reporting.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will be -
- CA or CPA Qualified with minimum of 2 years commercial experience
- multi-entity experience - preparation of accounts for multiple companies/branches
- Microsoft Excel skills to include all formulas
- Experience in Microsoft Business Central and/pr BI360 is desirable
- Experience working for the Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm is desired
