Job Description

  • Oversee and manage inventory accounting processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management practices.
  • Analyse inventory variances and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions effectively.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accounting processes and standards.
  • Proven ability to analyse financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
