An exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our client on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, delivering meaningful insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making and financial integrity.

Job Description

The role of Senior Management Accountant will include but not be limited to:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver insightful financial reporting to support management and business stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth gross margin and cost trend analysis across different business segments
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information



Business Support & Alignment

  • Partner with business units to provide financial advice and insights
  • Support business initiatives and objectives with financial expertise to drive performance and operational efficiency
  • Assist stakeholders in understanding financial outcomes and projections



Leadership

  • Develop the capability of direct reports to achieve targets and deliver exceptional customer experience



Accounting & Tax Compliance

  • Maintain and manage the General Ledger, P&L, and Balance Sheet with a high level of accuracy
  • Support tax-related activities in coordination with the broader finance team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification, CA/CPA Qualification is mandatory
  • A customer-first approach
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Previous leadership experience, where enjoyment of managing and developing others can be demonstrated
  • Exceptional analytical skills to ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial information
  • Retail energy experience highly regarded
