Job Description

Reporting into the Financial Controller your role will be to oversee the following:

  • Develop and implement Activity-Based Costing (ABC) structures to accurately allocate costs.
  • Prepare and analyse cost centre reports to monitor the financial performance of business units.
  • Conduct margin analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and profit improvement.
  • Provide detailed financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to understand cost drivers and improve cost efficiency.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for business units.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial training and support to non-financial managers to enhance their understanding of financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidates will be able to display the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and cost centre reporting.
  • Proven experience in margin analysis and cost management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
