This role requires a seasoned Platform Engineer, who can lead and work with a dynamic team in the midst of a company wide digital transformation.

As a national group, they operate over 20 businesses including: new home design and construction, commercial construction, land development, mortgage broking, conveyancing, plumbing, concreting, roofing, ceiling and wall fixing, and cabinet making. Job Description

  • Leading the new platform design and implementation.
  • Ensuring the platform's stability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Assisting in the design and development of software solutions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the platform.
  • Conducting regular checks and maintenance on the platform.
  • Providing training and support to team members as needed.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.



Specific Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement seue CI/CD pipelines using Octopus deploy and Azure Deploy.
  • Develop and maintain automated infrastructure with focus on scripting and programming.
  • Utilise tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry for system reliability.
  • Build, deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Optimise Azure Cloud infrastructure for performance and scalability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Platform Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer/Full-Stack Developer.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A solid understanding of software development and platform management.
  • Able to work within a fast-moving and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana and Open telemetry.
  • Focus on automation and building efficient systems.
  • Experience in software and or platform engineering or a similar role within a DecSevOps environment.
  • Programming and scripting skills in Powershell, .NET and Python.
  • Expertise in designing CI/CD pipelines using Octopus Deploy or Azure tools.
