Job Description

Project Engineering

  • Lead technical design, specifications, and scope of work for renewable energy and storage projects.
  • Review and optimise engineering designs to meet standards and commercial goals.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities and prepare RFQs.
  • Support tendering processes, including technical and commercial assessments.
  • Manage contractor selection and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Support testing and commissioning to Australian and international standards.



Project Management

  • Coordinate reporting between project teams and shareholders.
  • Support construction engineering and ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
  • Work with grid connection teams and network providers to develop connection scopes.
  • Monitor and improve engineering design performance and reliability.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee delivery of utility-scale projects, managing subcontractors and consultants.
  • Track project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide feedback on technical and schedule risks.



Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with shareholders and internal teams to align processes and approvals.
  • Maintain visibility of activities requiring stakeholder input.
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers, contractors, regulators, and consultants.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure business needs are met throughout project phases.



Contractor Management

  • Lead and coordinate engineering consultants and contractors.
  • Manage feasibility, FEED, and specialist services.
  • Ensure effective interface management for EPC/D&C contractors.
  • Support commercial and project management of contractor services.



The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate

  • Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years industry experience, including 5+ years in Australian solar, wind, or BESS projects.
  • Strong technical background in HV Balance of Plant design (primary, secondary, communications).
  • Experience in both project development and delivery, with a focus on early-stage engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and stakeholders across complex utility-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international standards, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Mandarin language skills are a bonus.
