The client is a well-established resources services organisation with long-term operations across Australia and Southeast Asia. They operate a centralised supply function supporting complex, large-scale mining and construction activities, with a strong focus on safety, governance and commercial discipline.

Job Description

  • Lead and supervise a team of Sourcing Officers and Contracts Specialists (team of 4).
  • Apply category management principles to drive sourcing strategy and business outcomes.
  • Initiate and lead category and sourcing initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Run and oversee RFPs / tenders, commercial negotiations and contract awards.
  • Provide oversight across the full contract lifecycle, ensuring governance and compliance.
  • Identify consolidation and savings opportunities across key spend categories.
  • Review category trends, demand and supplier performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Supply function.
  • Oversee Modern Slavery obligations and reporting for Supply.
  • Ensure effective use of SAP, SharePoint and approved ERP systems.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sourcing and Contracts Supervisor should have:



  • Commercially minded sourcing or category management professional


  • Background in mining, construction or project-based environments


  • Strong SAP capability with solid Excel skills


  • Strategic approach to sourcing and consolidation


  • Confident leading and influencing a small team while remaining hands-on
