The business has experienced steady and significant growth in recent years by leading the way in the steel manufacturing sector. They are now seeking a Technical Applications Specialist with an alignment of values to join their team.
Job Description
As the Technical Applications Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert in architectural metal cladding and associated systems. This includes all technical aspects of cladding manufacturing and installation. The position reports directly to the Production Manager and will engage and have close interaction with various influential stakeholders across the business.
The successful candidate, along with technical prowess, will need excellent communication skills to work with and provide technical expertise to all levels of the business including production, sales & customer service, and consumers. This is a hands-on role, that includes manufacturing best practice, continuous improvement initiatives, SOP development, quality operating system enhancement, team development and technical support.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth technical knowledge of the manufacturing and installation process of Standing Seam, Interlock, Snap Lock & Nail Strip architectural cladding panel profiles.
- Trade qualified (Sheet Metal or equivalent), engineering qualified or installer certified
- 5+ years practical experience and proven performance in technical metal cladding manufacturing and/or installation
- Experience in use of roll formers and associated sheet metal tools is essential
- Use of Schlebach Quaddro roll formers is highly beneficial
- Quality driven with Attention to Detail
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team
