Job Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, ensuring product solutions meet their specific requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotes, and product presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects and orders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and updates for management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sales Engineer should have:

  • A strong technical background, ideally with experience with instrumentation or flow control equipment.
  • Proven experience in sales within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. (Mining experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • The ability to understand and present complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying client needs.
  • A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.
