Job Description

  • Create and maintain digital work instructions within a standardised work management system, ensuring content is clear, practical, and compliant with maintenance and safety standards.
  • Prepare, cleanse, and manage bulk data uploads using Excel, ensuring documentation and task data is accurate, complete, and structured correctly.
  • Work closely with maintenance planners, reliability engineers, and master data specialists to ensure technical documentation supports maintenance strategies and operational readiness outcomes.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance across work instructions, maintenance procedures, and task lists in line with internal standards and governance requirements.
  • Engage with operational teams and project stakeholders to capture correct inputs and validate documentation prior to release.
  • Support the documentation of risk‑based maintenance strategies (e.g. RCM/FMECA) and assist planners with structuring task lists and job breakdowns for execution.
  • Review and refine work instructions to ensure they are fit for purpose and seamlessly integrated with enterprise asset management systems.
  • Coordinate with master data teams to maintain alignment between technical documentation, asset registers, and system master data.
  • Manage document version control and governance processes to maintain accuracy throughout the document life cycle.
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies or gaps in documentation by working with relevant subject matter experts to deliver standardised, high‑quality outputs.

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing technical documentation within maintenance, operational readiness, or asset management environments.
  • Familiarity with standardised work practices, including the creation of digital work instructions and structured data loading using Excel.
  • Experience working with enterprise asset management systems and an understanding of how technical documentation integrates with maintenance strategies and planning processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly for data structuring, validation, and supporting bulk data uploads.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and translate complex technical information into clear, well‑structured, and user‑friendly documentation.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with planning, reliability, and master data teams to obtain accurate inputs and validate technical documentation.
  • Understanding of work management processes and technical documentation standards within asset‑intensive or safety‑critical operating environments.
  • Exposure to risk‑based maintenance and asset criticality frameworks used to support maintenance strategy development.
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant technical discipline (e.g. engineering, maintenance, asset management, or technical writing) are desirable.
  • Comfortable seeking guidance when direction or information is unclear, and with escalating risks or issues to team leaders as appropriate.
