Job Description
Reporting to the Group L&D Manager, you will take responsibility for:
- Re-establishing business confidence in the training function
- Partnering with relevant stakeholders (nationally) to develop training programs that support the achievement of strategic objectives
- Building and nurturing a high-performing team
- Learning the technical intricacies of the functions your team will deliver training for
- Taking consistent feedback from staff and customers and enacting necessary changes to training programs to maintain best-practice and best-experience
- Ensuring all training programs align with relevant legislative, operating and OSH standards
- Managing the WA training budget to ensure optimal use of resources and cost-effective program delivery
- Auditing and reporting on the performance of the function against key pillars (fiscal, people, compliance, materials, systems, outcomes etc.)
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for and successful in this role you will:
- Have a robust 'all-rounder' type L&D / training background at technical / delivery level
- Ideally offer experience in the development of training programs for an adult learning environment.
- Ideally arrive with some VET experience behind you via time spent in an RTO environment (not essential)
- Offer the relevant certification(s) / diploma(s) to complement your practical experience
- Ideally have succeeded in heavily regulated industries
- Understand the link between a meaningful training and assessment program and framework, and the delivery of high calibre customer / end-user outcomes
- Be naturally people-driven - will actively build relationships
