About Our Client
Our client is a leading national transport company. Due to continued growth they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Allocator in the wharf cartage industry.
Reporting to the Branch Manager the Transport Allocator Plays a critical role in the operations team. It is the link between customers, wharves and the operations team. The core responsibility of this role is the scheduling of the daily fleet movements to ensure efficient use of sub-contractors equipment to meet customer requirements.
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have excellent problem solving skills and lots of energy. You will also be required to have;
- Wharf Cartage experience
- Exceptional customer service
- Outstanding phone manner & stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication skills- both oral and written and oral
- The ability to work under pressure and within stringent time frames
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
