About Our Client

Our client is one of the largest and most respected union bodies in Australia. They aim to help assist over 100,000 union members to ensure safety and best practice procedure is followed correctly across all practising sites, daily. This full-time, permanent opportunity will be having you working alongside an excellent team of 10, with all training and on-boarding offered and in good depth.

Job Description

As a Union Member OH&S Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation adheres to HR regulations and maintains the highest quality standards, including:

  • Provide expert advice, assistance, and support to members on all OH&S matters.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to managers, consultants, and employees on OH&S compliance matters.
  • Identify and analyse OHS trends in workplaces and develop plans to stem issues.
  • Assisting in the development and delivery of OH&S compliance and training programs.
  • Assist IR organisers and attend union events to deliver training and development programs to members.
  • Travel to sites (fortnightly) to attend meetings and discuss preventative OHS concepts.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a candidate with experience and passion for member advisory and who is looking for full-time work. To be successful, you'll need to have excellent communication, be a naturally pro-active person in the workplace, and have strong problem-solving skills. All training will also be provided in the role for the successful candidate. This is a full-time position, working standard business hours, with three days in the office per week.
