About Our Client

Our client is a large local government authority in the Pilbara region with a diverse workforce and service offering. They are a highly values-driven organisation with a focus on Quality and Integrity. Due to changes in structure, they have a temporary requirement for an up and coming safety professional.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Promote employee well being and oversee wellness programmes.
  • Provide training and development on health and safety matters.
  • Manage incident reporting and investigation processes.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure safety measures are adhered to.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the health and safety arena.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Health Safety & Wellness Partner should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience in the Public Sector would be ideal, but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to implement effective wellness programmes.
  • Confidence in delivering training and development initiatives.
