Job Description

· Develop and execute strategic account management plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

· Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across accounts to drive long-term strategic partnerships.

· Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and negotiate contracts to maximise profitability.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, finance, demand planning and customer service teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to stay ahead of the industry developments.

· Prepare and present strategic business reviews, sales plans for customer meetings.

· Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues effectively.

· Own budgets for assigned national accounts, delivering sales, and profitability targets.

· Lead annual Joint Business Planning processes, promotional planning and ranging negotiations.

· Analyse sales, POS and market data to develop actionable insights and recommendations.

· Forecast sales, manage demand planning inputs and monitor account performance against budgets and KPIs.

· Influence new product launches and go-to-market strategies with major retail partners.

· Represent the business at national trade shows, conferences and key customer events.

The Successful Applicant

A successful National Account Manager should have:

Formal Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.

Sales & Account Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales or Account Management, with demonstrated success managing national accounts.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver effective presentations.

Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close commercial agreements while managing complex customer relationships and business discussions.

Strategic Thinking & Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify market trends, and develop practical strategies to drive business growth.

Time Management: Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Results-Driven Mindset: Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and business objectives.

Industry Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of the fishing, seafood, or related industry is highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is desirable.
