About Our Client

A proud Aboriginal Corporation, WGAC manages the Native Title rights and interests of the Wunambal Gaambera people. Due to an increase in volume of work, the team is now looking to expand and strengthen its projects function with this new hire.

Job Description

  • Provide liaison, coordination and point of contact inputs to assist WGAC prepare for and negotiate the Wuudagu Mine and ILUA Agreements.
  • As a Team Leader, manage budgets and maintain schedules and notifications for advice, studies and report timelines, travel, meetings and consultation logistics set in the Wuudagu Mining Negotiation Protocol and as varied.
  • Develop and maintain close and broader stakeholder mapping and relationships to enhance consultation, negotiation and project outcomes.
  • Provide Executive Officer services to the Wuudagu Negotiation Team and procedures.
  • Coordinate engagement and management of Specialists to undertake relevant studies and consultation to provide information and advice to the Negotiation Team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong project coordination and team leadership experience, including managing multi-disciplinary consultants
  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively in remote and complex environments
  • High-level communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in community engagement and development
  • Mining or resources industry experience
  • Government or regulatory experience
  • Strong organisational and logistical capability
  • Practical, solutions-oriented mindset
