Job Description

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of payroll professionals
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large and complex workforce
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and internal policies
  • Manage complex payroll calculations including shift penalties, overtime, allowances and leave entitlements
  • Act as the senior escalation point for payroll-related queries
  • Partner closely with workforce management and rostering teams to ensure accurate payroll data flow
  • Support internal and external audits and compliance activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and system efficiencies
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused and collaborative team culture



The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience leading or supervising a payroll team
  • Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge within a large or complex organisation
  • Experience interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for process improvement
