The role will oversee end-to-end project delivery, providing technical leadership, stakeholder management, and support to project and site teams.

Job Description

  • Assist the Project Director in the running of the project.
  • Advise on the sufficiency of the design and information supplied and identify any outstanding or conflicting design issues.
  • Liaise with all disciplines Managers/Site Team leaders to ensure effective communication on project matters.
  • Develop and implement procedures for planning, managing, supervising construction works, and controlling Project costs.
  • Review & approval of technical documents submitted to the Client by the Contractors.
  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective actions where necessary.
  • Monitoring the Project deliverables meet with the agreed standards and satisfy stakeholder requirements at each stage of the project.
  • Monitoring overall project stakeholder relationships and adjusting strategies and plans for engaging stakeholders.
  • Applying change control and configuration management processes.
  • Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlight reports and end-stage assessments.
  • Maintaining an awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Take a proactive role in stablishing, assessing, and evaluating project management processes, sharing knowledge, identifying opportunities and providing advice to help improve processes and procedures.
  • Apply analytical and project management skills as well as technical writing skills at a task level.

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, engineering management or related field preferred, membership of chartered institution.
  • Professional Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or related certification.
  • Years of Experience: over 20 years; and as Project Manager over 15 years.
  • Proved experience in supervising the construction of complex projects, mainly as a Consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractors experience will not be taken into consideration.
  • At least experience in 1 or more projects of ROADS. Candidates without clear ROAD experience will not be taken into consideration.
  • Advanced level of English language. Basic Knowledge of Arabic Language is a plus.
  • Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
