About Our Client

A reputable organisation within the Transport & Distribution industry, based in South Sydney.

Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax obligations and audits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance department with ad hoc tasks and projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance within the Transport & Distribution industry or similar sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
