In June 2016, VenuesLive was appointed by the Western Australian Government to become Operator of Perth Stadium and Sports Precinct, which is scheduled to start operations in early 2018. In its role as Operator, VenuesLive will be responsible for securing events as well as the management of all facets of the operation of the 60,000-capacity, multi-purpose Stadium and Sports Precinct, for an initial period of five years. VenuesLive has vast experience in managing major stadiums, having been involved in the opening and ongoing operation of Sydney’s ANZ stadium.
VenuesLive Head of Human Resources, Rebecca Barry, was delighted with the partnership with global recruitment specialist Michael Page and Page Personnel in Western Australia.
“I am delighted to be partnering with the team at MP and PPWA to support our delivery of the new Perth Stadium for the people of Western Australia. This is a magnificent project and we are well and truly underway with our recruitment program,” said Barry.
Brodie McDougall, Regional Director for PageGroup in WA, will partner Barry on the search for top talent. McDougall has worked with PageGroup since 2003 across Perth, Shanghai and Sydney offices. During this time, Brodie has been involved in a variety of large scale recruitment projects and was the former President of Aussie Rules competition in Shanghai.
“I am very excited to be working with Rebecca and the VenuesLive executive team to source top talent on this world-class new stadium. As a proud West Australian, the new stadium and sports precinct provides an exceptional opportunity for top talent to join a high profile start-up that will change the shape of sports and entertainment in Australia,” said McDougall.
