About Our Client

Our client is a global engineering, inspection and technical assurance organisation with a strong presence across the energy, oil & gas, process and industrial sectors. They are investing in the expansion of their Australian Asset Integrity Management (AIM) capability and are seeking a senior leader to establish and grow a specialist engineering team based in Adelaide. This is a rare opportunity to lead the development of a new technical centre, providing local asset integrity, corrosion, materials engineering and consultancy services to major industrial clients while leveraging the expertise of an established international engineering network. The role combines technical leadership, client engagement, project delivery and business growth responsibilities.Their vision is to develop a dedicated Technical Centre focused on corrosion prevention, integrity management and asset life cycle optimisation.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement asset integrity management strategies and plans.
  • Oversee and monitor the performance of assets to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential risks or issues.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff to deliver effective maintenance and reliability solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise asset performance and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards within the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Analyse data to drive continuous improvement in asset integrity processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support decision-making and strategic planning.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Asset Integrity Engineering Manager should have:

  • Proven expertise in asset integrity management within the energy, oil and gas and/or industrial sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of energy and oil and gas operations.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • A background in engineering or a related discipline.



The successful candidate will:

  • Have worked directly for an operator (rather than purely consulting).
  • Understand budgeting and commercial decision-making.
  • Can identify and secure the right talent at the right time.
  • Have strong industry credibility and networks.
  • Can build and lead a team.
  • Is capable of recruiting and managing deep technical specialists
