Job Description

  • Manage all aspects of capital works projects, from initial planning through to completion.
  • Develop and oversee project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
  • Engage and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to streamline project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Capital Works Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in managing construction projects, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in coordinating with contractors and internal teams effectively.
  • A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
