Job Description

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to support organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Organise and facilitate community consultations, workshops, and events.
  • Prepare and deliver clear and engaging communication materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key community groups and stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and support on best practices for community engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Community Engagement Advisor should have:

  • Experience in community engagement or related roles within the public sector or industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute engagement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and frameworks for community engagement.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and communication materials.
  • A collaborative approach to working with diverse groups and teams.
  • Valid Victorian drivers Licence
