As a Data Analyst in the public sector, based in Kingscliff, you will be responsible for transforming data into meaningful insights, dashboards and automated reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision making.
  • Gold Coast / Kingscliff based role. 3/2 hybrid environment
  • 6 month initial contract, with view to extend

Job Description

Key Responsibilities* Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.

* Develop complex SQL queries and work with SQL Server databases.

* Use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to interrogate, validate and manage data.

* Create and optimise Power Query data models and transformations.

* Develop and maintain Report Builder reports.

* Automate recurring reporting and scheduling processes.

* Analyse large and complex datasets and identify trends, risks and opportunities.

* Respond to ad hoc data requests and stakeholder enquiries.

* Ensure data integrity, accuracy and quality across reporting outputs.

* Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics tools, systems and processes.

They will be highly organised, capable of managing competing priorities and comfortable handling large volumes of data requests. The ideal person learns quickly, adapts to changing business needs, thinks proactively and takes ownership of delivering high-quality outcomes.Technical Skills Required* Advanced Power BI report and dashboard development

* Advanced Microsoft Excel

* Data transformation, cleansing and modelling

* Report automation and scheduling

* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
