As a Financial Accountant, you will manage core financial accounting activities for our client located in Clayton. You will help maintain accurate financial information that supports sound reporting and day-to-day business decisions.

About Our Client

Our client is well known manufacturer and distributor of high quality products in both a B2B and B2C basis. They have been operating for close to 50 years and have a loyal client base. This role will be required to work 5 days on-site with flexibility and free on-site parking offered.

Job Description

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records to support reporting.
  • Complete regular account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements for the CEO.
  • Complete month-end activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
  • Review financial data to identify errors, gaps and items requiring follow-up.
  • Maintain clear documentation for accounting entries and financial records.
  • Work with all teams to gather financial information and resolve data queries.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Accounting degree and previous experience in a Financial Accounting role.
  • Experience preparing reconciliations, journals and financial reporting schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Confidence working with financial systems and spreadsheet-based reporting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
