About Our Client

Located in the Perth CBD, our client is a Private Equity backed technology company who support a variety of sectors. Due to business growth, the team is now seeking to expand its finance function with this new hire.

Job Description

Reporting into the CFO and acting as a bridging gap between this level and the rest of the team, the key scope of this role includes:

  • Lead the finance function for a growing business operating across both Australia and North America.
  • Own financial control, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely delivery of financial reporting, month end close and group accounting activities.
  • Drive improvements to internal controls, governance and risk management frameworks to support a scalable and compliant finance environment.
  • Oversee finance operations, including AR, AP, payroll, cashflow and working capital management.
  • Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting and external audit processes.
  • Lead a finance transformation program focused on process improvement, automation, systems optimisation and AI enabled solutions.
  • Develop and mentor a distributed finance team across Australia and North America.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial insight, strengthen financial discipline and support company growth.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will possess the following traits:

  • Big 4 or Mid Tier public practice training (desired).
  • Relevant commercial experience working in a Financial Controller or Manager roles.
  • Track record of driving transformation/automation projects.
  • CA/CPA Qualified.
  • People leadership exposure.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting processes, reconciliations and month-end activities.
  • Ability to analyse financial results and clearly explain variances and trends.
  • Experience maintaining financial controls and improving finance processes.
  • Capability to prepare practical management reporting for business stakeholders.
