Job Description

  • Prepare and maintain accurate group accounting records to support timely financial reporting.
  • Review financial data and investigate variances to improve the accuracy of reported information.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve identified discrepancies.
  • Prepare journals and supporting documentation in line with internal accounting requirements.
  • Assist with period-end activities, ensuring key accounting tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Compile financial reports and schedules for use by the Accounting & Finance team.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to obtain financial information and clarify accounting entries.
  • Maintain organised records and documentation to support clear financial reporting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Group Accountant should have:

  • Experience in group accounting and financial reporting activities.
  • Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, journals and period-end processes.
  • Ability to review financial data, identify variances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Capability to prepare accurate financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Confidence working with accounting records and maintaining clear financial files.
  • Ability to work effectively with Accounting & Finance stakeholders to gather information.
